Meet Terry Briggs
Candidate for Alternate Vice President / US National Legislative Representative
Terry Briggs has been married to his wife Pam for 39 years. They have three children and four grandchildren. He started his railroad career in 1971 in Oklahoma where he hired out as a fireman on the Rock Island Railroad, gaining promotion to engineer two years later.

Willard Knight is National Vice President of the 59,000-member Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, a Division of the Rail Conference, International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Meet Gil Gore
Candidate and Incumbent for Vice President #7
Gil Gore is currently serving as Vice President of the BLET National Division and is currently assigned to the CSXT Railroad and special projects on Union Pacific Railroad. He was elevated to Vice President in December of 2009.

Meet Tony Smith
Candidate for 2nd Alternate Vice President
Tony Smith currently serves as General Chairman for the CSX Eastern Lines General Committee of Adjustment, which is the former Seaboard Coast Line portion of CSXT. Brother Smith has held this position since September of 1991.

Meet Rick Gibbons
Candidate for 1st Alternate Vice President
Rick Gibbons is a BLET General Chairman for the BNSF (SLSF/MNA). He was first elected to this position 2001, and has been acclaimed in two subsequent elections, most recently in May 2009.

Meet Cole Davis
Candidate for Vice President #2
Cole Davis is currently the General Chairman of the Norfolk Southern Northern Lines, the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad and the Chicago, Ft. Wayne Eastern Railroad with a membership of approximately 2600 engineers and Trainmen. His Committee is comprised of 34 Local Chairmen with Divisions covering eight states. He represents Engineers and Trainmen from Kansas City, MO to Croxton, NJ.

2010 Initiative - Democracy is the Key
The Candidates who have joined together to form the BLET Unity Slate have prepared the following statement on the initiative vote currently underway. If ratified, the initiative will restore delegate election of National Division Officers as compared to the current process instituted in 2006 mandating rank and file direct election of National Division Officers.
